Backing the people building a healthier, wealthier future for women.

Yellow Cherry Capital invests and advises at the intersection of women's health and financial empowerment traditional capital has overlooked for too long.

Operator-built. Founder-first.

Yellow Cherry Capital is built on two decades of operating, launching, and scaling ventures in global health - not just watching from the sidelines. We know what it takes to build something that matters, because we've built it ourselves.

Everyone benefits when women's health and wealth are treated as the trillion-dollar opportunities they are not niche categories.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Katie Kirsch

Operator-turned-venture-capitalist working at the intersection of global health, venture capital, and founder support.

I started my career building things, not investing in them. Co-founding Sisu Global Health taught me what it actually takes to bring a life-saving medical device a WHO-approved blood transfusion technology - from prototype to market across Africa and Southeast Asia, raising more than $6M along the way. That operator's-eye view is what I now bring to every founder and fund I work with.

Today I invest as a Venture Partner at Mindshift Capital, a global women-run VC investing in post- seed and early-stage companies across the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Through my own practice, Hello Katie Kirsch LLC, I advise founders and ecosystem-builders on medical device and biotech market evaluation, international strategy, and entrepreneurial ecosystem development. I also co-founded Founder Forward Michigan, a year-long fellowship supporting high-growth founders across Detroit and Grand Rapids.

Yellow Cherry Capital brings all of that together: a home for the investing, advising, and connecting I do at the intersection of women's health and wealth two areas I believe are chronically undervalued and enormously overdue for capital.

INVESTMENT THESIS

We back what traditional capital overlooks.

Women's health and financial empowerment are two of the largest, most underfunded categories in venture. We invest and advise where the two meet.

How we work

Yellow Cherry Capital operates as both investor and operator-in-residence — capital when it's useful, and hands-on strategy when that's what's needed

Early-stage & LP capital

Angel checks into founders and LP commitments into funds aligned with our thesis.

Advisory

Market evaluation, fundraising strategy, and international go-to-market particularly for medical device and biotech founders.

Ecosystem building

Fellowships and programming that grow the pipeline of founders working on these problems, starting in Michigan.
